who played neither guitar nor tom-tom,
he took up his pen
and wrote there and then
where limericks actually come from.
You think that was bad? To be honest, so do I. Then again it certainly is not the worst limerick I ever heard or read, even if I say so myself. But I could (and maybe should) leave limericks well alone anyway, as this form of poetry is neither connected to Ireland nor to Limerick, despite the name. Should you plan to visit Limerick, do not expect the locals to talk in rhymes!
