After the Budget - Will an Irish Holiday Become More Expensive?

The answer is a definite "maybe" ... it all depends on how the service providers will react and what your personal needs are. Smokers and those partial to a bottle of wine may well cut back on their overall consumption. And if you are staying at a B&B or renting a car you may the odd Euro added to your bill. But overall the news are not too bad: fuel prices are not hiked (again) and VAT stays stable, even the reduced rate in the tourism sector. So ... could have been worse.
