Travelling around Ireland this year I re-visited some old friends and made new ones - on the museum front, that is. You see, I like looking at old things. But I also like to look at old things in new ways, to be educated, to be challenged, to be entertained. So, which museum made the cut in 2012?
I only recently managed to visit the re-vamped Ulster Museum in Belfast, a full review is still pending ... which was, to be short, very nice. Also the museum at Glasnevin Cemetery contained a few surprises. But the crown has to go to the 1798 Centre in Enniscorthy. Complex history presented in an engaging way. Tip of the hat to that!
