Donegal is a long way off the beaten tourist track, which magically seems to stop at the Galway-Dublin line. But the "detour" is well worth a while, as the things to do in County Donegal are many and varied. You might be shopping for tweed. Or take long walks, observing eagles in a National Park. Or observe the marching Orangemen near the beach. Or seek solitude on Slieve League. Or seek enlightenment with Saint Patrick in his Purgatory ...
