Blokarting at Nutts Corner says it all to me ... you sit in a cart that gets blown along and youll have to be nuts to attempt tight corners. Then again it is not far from karting at all, considered a mainline sport and not particularly dangerous. And adding a sail while ditching the noisy motor makes sense these days. But you might get a little bit scared when you reach ninety kilometers an hour in a gust, with you butt inches from the disused runway ...
Blokarting is new, it is fast and it is fun. Also eco-friendly and maybe best experienced on a beach, where soft(ish) sand can be more forgiving than the concrete of the Nutts Corner course. But here you can get instruction and learn the basics ... how to steer, how to use the wind best, what to do in a crash. And the simple fact that there are no brakes. Learn blokarting before attempting it own your own my advice!
