Fry Model Railway – Malahide Castle, Dublin
Malahide Castle, Dublin

By , About.com Guide

The Fry Model Railway in Malahide Castle, just north of Dublin, is a place of pilgrimage for all those interested in trains or models – a gigantic railway system in miniature, featuring lavish detail and finished to a high standard.

Started in O-scale (1:43) by railway engineer Cyril Fry, the whole railway model took decades to construct. Locomotives, coaches and wagons are exact reproductions of those used in Ireland. And the miniature landscape is not of a generic style, you'll see Dublin landmarks as well.
