Swords (County Dublin)

A complete round tower of 26 meters height and a base diameter of five meters. The doorsill is at waist height ... which is quite unusual. Though the tower was built in the 10th century, a slightly botched restoration job was done in the 17th or 18th century. The tower is nearly hidden in the grounds of the Church of Ireland church.
