Stay in Dublin - Hotels and Other Accommodation

Reviews of hotels, guesthouses and other accommodation available in the Dublin area. Where to stay, what to expect and related advice.
Abbey Court Hostel
If there is a hostel in the heart of Dublin, the Abbey Court must be a contender – if you leave the hostel, O'Connell Bridge is to your left, Ha'penny Bridge to your right.
Abigail's Hostel
Situated just opposite the Abbey Court Hostel, Abigail's (a former hotel) shares the same blessed inner city location but has a different traffic problem.
Abraham House Hostel
Just across the square from Custom House, Abraham House itself has different sized rooms and a self-catering kitchen.
Avalon House Hostel
Avalon House owes its name to Arthurian legend, but nothing else – using an old hospital building next to the shrine of Saint Valentine. But it is one of the venerable backpacker hostels of Dublin,
Barnacles Temple Bar House
Barnacles Temple Bar House is ... right in the middle of Temple Bar. Which means that a good night's sleep is not what most people are looking for.
Four Courts Hostel
The glory of days past – just opposite the glorious Four Courts, the Four Courts Hostel basks in the glory of past awards as “Number 1 Hostel Worldwide” and “Best Hostel in Ireland”.
Isaac’s Hostel
Isaac’s Hostel can be found in the Lower Gardiner Street area and may remind guests of the seminal movie “The Blues Brothers” - when the local DART train virtually rumbles through the bedroom.
Kinlay House
Housed in an extensively renovated red brick building next to Christchurch Cathedral, Kinlay House simply looks good. A convenient city center location if anything.
Litton Lane Hostel
Just off Bachelor's Walk you'll find a lane that might have been unaltered since James Joyce's days, and he left Dublin early. The Litton Lane Hostel highlights is (rather small) place in music history to attract customers.
Oliver St. John Gogarty's Hostel
Another hostel right in the middle of Temple Bar and right next to the Oliver St. John Gogarty's pub, named after a chum of Joyce and offering a wide choice of drinks and food.
Paddy's Palace Hostel
If you are passing by Custom House and Busaras you are virtually going through the lobby of Paddy's Palace. Positive side: you are never stuck for transport.
Townhouse Globetrotters Hostel
This is a double act – the Townhouse is a fairly conventional guesthouse and the adjacent Globetrotters provides the hostel wing. In a location near to most transport opportunities as well as to Dublin's city center.
