Abigail’s Hostel

Address: 7-9 Aston Quay, Dublin 2
Telephone: +353-1-6779300
Website: www.abigailshostel.com
Public Transport: Dublin Bus (Quays, Westmoreland Street)
Nearest Attractions: O’Connell Street, O’Connell Bridge, Ha’penny Bridge, Temple Bar

Situated just opposite the Abbey Court Hostel, Abigail's (a former hotel) shares the same blessed inner city location but has a different traffic problem – cars are prone to race by after escaping a notorious bottleneck at O'Connell Bridge. The hostel exterior has the charming feel of an Eastern European office block and thus is nothing to write home about (unless yoiu want to evince sympathy).

Abigail's has nearly thirty guest rooms of different sizes, all en suite. A “continental breakfast” is included in the price, more hungry guests will want to use the communal self-catering facilities.

Recommended?

Location, location, location – a safe footpath to Temple Bar and a very central location are the Abigail's strength.
