Barnacles Temple Bar House is ... right in the middle of Temple Bar. Which means that a good night's sleep is not what most people passing by (or even staying here) are looking for. If you want to enjoy Dublin during daytime and rest here at night, make sure that you get a room at the back. The front of the building is “tourist and party central”.

On the positive side the hostel has often been commended for its clean rooms and amenities.

The Barnacles has, apart from the usual dorms, double rooms, all are ensuite and a “continental breakfast” is included. There is a communal kitchen, so you can avoid the quite pricey restaurants in the area. Lockers and a left luggage service are available as well.

Recommended?

If you want to head into the busy nightlife of Temple Bar right from the doorstep of your digs, this is the place to be. And if you don't, consider on of the back rooms as a central location with a “lively atmosphere”.
