Another hostel right in the middle of Temple Bar and right next to the Oliver St. John Gogarty's pub, named after a chum of Joyce and offering a wide choice of drinks and food. The hostel is conscious of its location and neighborhood and (quite sensible) does not take in guests under the age of twelve. Anybody staying here will agree that this might be a good idea with three bars in the house. Nights may be short, but full of the ceol agus craic ao beloved by the visitors to Temple Bar.
From double rooms en suite to those with shared faciliteis and, of course, dorms the Oliver St. John Gogarty's has accommodation for every taste and budget. Save more money by using the common kitchen, even though a light breakfast is included. Lockers and left luggage service are available.
Recommended?
Don't expect tranquility or a meditative stay, expect fun until the cows come home. Though you might be reminded of these animals when one of the dreaded hen parties hits the location (which is, I know, unfair to the bovine species). Combine it with a bunch of lads on a stag and you won't need chemicals to keep wide awake. Surrealistic impressions in included.
