After leaving the grounds of Old Castle Archdale turn left - extreme left for the scenic route or "just left" for the quicker route straight to Kesh. It really is up to you - the scenic drive takes longer but has a nicer feel about it. And a quick look at the map will show you several prehistoric monuments on the way.

At Kesh you will join the A35 and follow this until the A47 forks off to the left. You are now heading for Boa Island. Though you won’t really notice you are on an island, very short bridges connect it to the mainland at both ends.

Drive moderately slow or you will miss the signs indicating where you have to take a left turn into a laneway to reach Caldragh Cemetery. Park safely and then make your way on foot into the cemetery, home to two prehistoric statues.

After taking in these ancient carvings, make your way back to the A47, turn left and carry on westwards in the Belleek direction ...
