The Bottom Line
If you need a clean comfortable room in a practical location for an affordable price this is a good choice. If you want to be pampered ... stay away. The Castleknock Travelodge offers no-frills motel accommodation and extras are not included. Neither is a breakfast.

Cons
  • Breakfast not included.
  • Not a central location.
Description
  • Budget motel accommodation near M50 and N3.
  • Good public transport connection to city center.
  • No meals included - but restaurant next door.
Guide Review - Travelodge Castleknock (Dublin)

The Castleknock Travelodge is near the M50 Ring Road and the N3 linking Dublin to the Northwest - but far away from the roads to be quiet enough for a good night's sleep. Rooms are modern and furnished in an utilitarian style, they are strictly places to rest your head, not to spend your days in comfort. But this is okay.

Geared towards the cost-conscious traveller and providing only basic services, this motel won't break your bank. Even though a breakfast is not included, using the Travelodge and buying your "Full Irish" in a café can work out cheaper than other "budget" accommodation in Dublin. Though you will not be tempted to spend your days here, the frequent buses to the city center make it a worthwhile alternative for tourists.
